CoderDojo is a global movement of free, open, volunteer-led coding clubs where young people aged 7 to 17 can explore coding and other digital making. You could learn how to make your own game, build a website, learn about circuits and anything in between!

Our team of volunteers are launched Selby CoderDojo in April 2023 and we meet monthly on Sunday mornings. If you'd like to come along, click below to sign up to our next event!

Volunteer!

Volunteers are what make our Dojos run! We have a small but dedicated team at Selby CoderDojo, but we can always use more support!

You don't need to have a technical background to be a CoderDojo volunteer, you just need to be a friendly supportive person! We can provide you with any training you need, and as you might expect, all volunteers will need to complete a DBS check.

Donate!

Dojos are free to attend for young people, and we work hard to make sure money or access to technology isn't a barrier to anyone. But like any charity, we have costs we need to meet.

We gladly welcome donations of old computer equipment, especially laptops. If you've got an old laptop you don't use, it could help a young person build their first website or app! Financial donations that help us meet our costs are also gratefully recieved!
